Are you ready to fall in love with the sweetest pair of big brown puppy dog eyes? Well than look no further.
Remington is a very active puppy and likes to start his day early. His ideal family would be early risers who enjoy being active. He is very affectionate and loves to nuzzle up with us after breakfast and a romp in the yard while we watch the morning news. He truly is an absolute pleasure to spend time with.
Remi lives with two dogs and we think he would do well in a home with our without other dogs. He is respectful towards our older dog that’s a bit of a grump, but it would be best if other dog(s) in the home had a similar high energy play style. Remi also lives with a cat, and while he respects his space most of the time, he does try to give chase everyone once in a while. As long as any resident cats are confident and willing to stand their ground and you continue to work with Remi, a home with cats should be fine. We wouldn’t recommend a home with any small animals.
Remi’s house-breaking and basic training is coming along nicely and he continues to learn more every day. He does love his treats but is definitely more people motivated so building a strong bond and relationship with him is very easy. This also means he would rather be spending time with you than alone and can sometimes struggle being by himself. We are actively working on building his independence through scheduled down time in his crate and we are seeing lots of improvement. However, apartments, condos or townhomes are not an ideal fit as he does bark for a short period of time when first left alone.
He is a very outgoing puppy and just loves meeting new people and dogs. Remi was not at all overwhelmed when we took him to Easter dinner to meet 20 strangers which also included a couple of infants and a few children 2-6 years old.
So if you’re ready to instantly fall in love, come meet Remi today!!
My ideal home will enroll in the training classes ARF offers right away, so we can start bonding and building our relationship on the right paw.
