Meet Sadie 💛
Sweet Sadie is a devoted momma who has already proven how strong and loving she is. She was rescued alongside her newborn litter, doing what good moms do best — staying close, keeping her babies warm, and making sure they felt safe. At the time of rescue, no one realized she wasn’t walking quite right. Like many new mothers, Sadie rarely moved far from her puppies, so her quiet discomfort went unnoticed.
As her puppies grew more adventurous and started exploring the world around them, our team began to notice that Sadie wasn’t using one of her back legs very well. Concerned for her comfort, we took her in for a veterinary exam. X-rays revealed that Sadie has a fractured femoral head — an injury that was likely causing her significant pain. The veterinarian recommended amputation to give her the best chance at a pain-free, happy future.
Despite everything she’s been through, Sadie remains gentle, affectionate, and incredibly resilient. She has been a wonderful mother, and now it’s her turn to be cared for and cherished. Dogs adapt amazingly well after amputation, and we know Sadie’s loving spirit will carry her through recovery and into her next chapter.
Sadie is ready to leave her past behind and find a forever home where she can be spoiled, cuddled, and loved the way she deserves. If you’re looking for a brave, loyal companion with a heart full of love, Sadie may be your girl.
