Sydney’s Happy Ending

Posted in: Adoption Stories

10 years ago, we met our special girl, we named her Sydney when we brought her home. When we met, she walked up to us.  She chose us.
Since Sydney was with us, she helped raise our 2 children to understand and respect animals, to learn to be kind and gentle.  Sydney was so understanding and so kind. We got her special new knees 5 years ago and she dealt with the double TPLO surgery like a real champion.

We had to say goodbye to her yesterday as we found she had some very aggressive lung cancer.  She was so good at hiding it from us, and just keeping up with her Family Watch, and walks, and giving so much love.
We miss her, we love her.  We’ll place her collar under a tree and will keep it safe until we do so.

I just wanted to let you know we appreciated you guys letting us meet and adopt her.  She was the best dog.  We’ll never find one as special as her again.  What an amazing, kind girl you guys found and found a home for.
We’re devastated, but continue to celebrate her.  I was with her the whole time, and she looked like she was able to relax and rest.  She had no fear in her eyes, and I laid with her while the procedure happen.

We wanted you to know how special she was for us, and to us.   We’ll never forget her.

Thank you,
