Besides her remarkable markings, Trixie is an absolute sweetheart. She is agile, energetic, brave, sassy, and super sweet. She loves being around and close to people and loves wrestling with her brother. She adores the resident older pup in our home, and would do amazing in a home with another dog. She is learning his cues very quickly and is eager to become his new best friend. She is learning how to share and how to play with others.
Trixie is high energy and loves to play, but when she’s all played out and tired, she loves to come and curl up either right next to you or on you and give the best cuddles. She is very treat motivated and has already learned how to sit and wait for her dinner, sit for treats, give high five, and lay down on command (sometimes even not on command she is so eager for a treat). She is very polite and will sit at the door before we open it, and she is almost fully house trained; she mostly always scratches on the door to let us know when she needs to go out. Trixie sleeps quietly through the night in her crate and naps throughout the day in her crate with no problems. She is a fast learner and will do so well with more training. She plays well with her brother, with the resident dog, and has met young kids and has loved being around them.
Trixie will be an amazing running partner, hiking partner, and all around great dog. Her ideal home will have plenty of toys to play with, someone who lives an active lifestyle and have her accompany them to give her exercise and mental stimulation, and someone who will give her all the snuggles.
