In Need of Foster Home

The following animals are in need of a foster home. If you’re interested in fostering any of these animals, please read All About Fostering and fill out an application.

Because each animal’s best interest is our top priority, we fully support and promote reward-based training techniques and ask that our volunteers, foster homes and adopters do too. View our Position on Training for more information.

Scooby

Hello, hello! My name is Scooby and I am looking for a foster home. I’m fully grown and an excellent medium sized dog. I am smart and have a great personality. I really enjoy learning new things with the Dog Care Team at ARF and excel at my enrichment activities. I’m still young and have never had training before, so I have tendencies to be naughty, like jump and mouth, but all my friends at ARF are working with me on this and they say I’m doing so good – I try really hard to make the best choices. I am not nervous of strange people and have really enjoyed meeting all the volunteers, but because of my age and WIP skills, I would do better in a home with older kids (12+) who are comfortable around dogs. I have been introduced to other dogs and I am a full contact sport kinda player, so I would do well in a home with another active dog who has a similar play style.

Sheba

Sheba is our resident smarty-pants. She is such a brilliant dog, who is eager to learn, loves to try new things and work with a human partner. She is over-the-top affectionate and LOVES snuggles and belly rubs. Sheba is looking for a very dog experienced home who is willing to work on her reactivity to other dogs and strangers. She has been doing amazing work with our Animal Care Team on her desensitization and counter-conditioning that we are confident in the right foster home she can truly flourish into an amazing little dog. Sheba needs a foster home that has no kids and no small animals. She will require a few introductions with prospective foster homes to meet the humans and become friends before she moves in. She has also been doing amazing with off-leash introductions to new dogs, so a home with another dog is definitely a possibility. We will facilitate the dog-dog introductions after she’s made friends with the human portion of the family.

If you are interested in meeting any of these dogs, please fill out the foster application form.
