Our family recently adopted Birdie, now Poppy, from ARF after we lost our 2 senior dogs and 1 cat in Nov and Dec 2023. I was immediately drawn to Poppy as not only is she beautiful but her bio mentioned she was good with kids, which was key for us. We met her and fell in love right away. Our family had a Disney vacation planned for the last week of Jan so our timing wasn’t ideal but I knew she was the one after our day visit.
Thanks to her foster family, we were able to pull this adotpion off during that time. They graciously agreed to watch her while we took our trip and without this help, we wouldn’t have been able to adopt her.
Poppy is an absolute gem of a pup. She’s all legs and a bit clumsy but so smart. We’ve started training using the ARF provided vouchers that come with the adoption and it’s going well.
I cannot say enough positive things about ARF, their fosters, and of course Poppy! Adopting is by far the most rewarding and affordable was to get a pet. ARF took care of her first shots, her spay, and microchip. If that wasn’t enough, the training discount you receive is higher than the adoption fee itself. ARF goes the extra mile to ensure that both you and your pet are set up for success.
Because of this positive experience we are now quite interested in becoming fosters ourselves in the future once Poppy grows up a bit and is trained.
Thank you ARF for bringing Poppy into our home and for all the hard work you put into saving these incredible animals.
