*
The medical history of cats coming into the ARF program is rarely known. Despite being vaccinated as soon as it is safe to do so, they may have been exposed to viruses prior to coming into the program. Keeping your animals up-to-date on their vaccinations will help reduce the risk of them contracting viruses.

Please describe how and when your current animals were exposed to other cats:

Have you ever had to surrender or re-home a pet before?

Please describe the circumstances that led to surrendering or re-homing your pet(s) in the past:

Why would you like to foster cats at this time?
*
ARF does their best to ensure that foster animals are examined by a veterinarian prior to being placed into foster homes; however, this is not always possible. Ensuring that existing animals are kept separate from foster animals, as well as proper cleaning protocols are being followed significantly helps reduce the risk of anything contagious being passed on to other people or animals in the foster home.
*
Some conditions do not present themselves immediately upon arrival and cannot be detected during a physical examination by a veterinarian at the time of intake. This is why ARF requires that all animals are kept separate from existing animals while being fostered. ARF will not be held liable for any medical or behavioral concerns or associated damages or costs that arise from fostering cats through ARF.
Yes, I understand and fully accept the risks involved with fostering cats through ARF.

Do you have a small quiet space that is easy to clean, such as a bathroom, to provide a safe area for your foster cat(s)?
*
Introducing a new cat(s) to a new environment or other animals can be stressful for most cats. The transition to their new space and other animals, as well as getting used to their new litter box and scratching post, tends to be the least stressful for them and have the most lasting success if they have a smaller “safe” room to start in before having access to the whole house and other animals. It is strongly recommended that quarantine periods (first 14 days) are in a bathroom before considering moving them to a spare room or gradually introducing them to the rest of your home following proper introduction guidelines. Having foster cats in a smaller, easy-to-clean area also helps with cleaning protocols should the foster cat(s) have any contagious medical concerns.
Yes
No
Please note that there are increased risks to your home and existing animals should you choose to not follow the requirement to keep foster cat(s) in a separate, easy-to-clean space and follow proper disease control and cleaning protocols.
*
ARF will not be held liable for any medical or behavioral concerns or associated costs that arise from fostering cats through ARF.
Yes, I understand and fully accept the risks involved with fostering cats through ARF.
