Meet Thumper! Currently seeking a foster or forever home, Thumper has captured the hearts of everyone at ARF with his outgoing and affectionate nature. A fun-loving and happy guy, Thumper enjoys nothing more than playing with his canine friends and exploring the great outdoors. He’s a handsome and active boy who adores hiking, splashing in water, and engaging in interactive games like puzzles and Kongs.
Thumper is a quick learner, thriving on mental stimulation and motivated by treats. He’s mastered many basic commands and is actively working on crate training, making great progress with consistent efforts. Beyond his love for play, Thumper is incredibly cuddly and revels in receiving affection from his human companions.
Thumper does wonderfully with all people, including children, and his loving nature shines through in every interaction. While he generally gets along well with most dogs in playgroups, he can sometimes feel uneasy around unfamiliar situations. He’s looking for a forever home that can provide him with structure, routine, and the reassurance of a reliable caregiver. Although he experiences some separation anxiety, his stress levels diminish with a predictable routine, positive structure and a supportive presence.
Thumper tends to bond well with confident female dogs and would thrive in a home where he can have a canine companion who shares his love for play and exploration. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a loyal and affectionate companion then Thumper is the boy for you.
