Meet Brin! This young dog is a gem in the making. He is playful and silly and loves affection from all humans. He’s a “teenager”, so he’s a little uncoordinated and working on his basic house manners, crate training and leash skills, but they are coming along nicely. He thrives in a home with consistent expectations, time for activity and lots of mental stimulation. He loves using his brain and exploring new puzzle toys and foraging for food. Brin gets along with other dogs, so he would do well in a home with a confident and playful canine companion and he’s also been exposed to cats, so he’d do well in a home with a dog-savvy cat, too! Due to his age and size, he’d likely be best in a home with older children. You will notice that when Brin trots or runs, he has a bit of a hop instead of a regular gait. We have consulted with our veterinarians and orthopaedic surgeons and they have agreed that his gait is not due to any physical issue or pain, but is mostly likely neurological. He definitely doesn’t let this slow him down in the slightest but he’s patiently waiting for a forever home who will accept him for exactly who he is.
My ideal home will be excited to enroll us in the discounted training classes ARF offers, so we can start bonding and building our relationship on the right paw.
