Meet Freya!

Freya is a smart, energetic young dog with a huge personality and so much potential in the right home. She is incredibly intelligent, eager to learn, and thrives when given opportunities to use both her brain and her body. Whether it’s training, enrichment games, outdoor adventures, or learning new tricks, Freya loves being engaged with her people.

She is already crate trained, house trained, and has a great foundation of basic skills. Freya learns quickly and truly enjoys training sessions, making her an excellent candidate for continued obedience work, agility, dog sports, or an active lifestyle with a family excited to continue building her confidence and skills.

While Freya is affectionate, playful, and full of spunk, she is also a sensitive dog who takes time to fully settle into new environments and relationships. She can initially be unsure of the world around her and will need patient, understanding adopters who are committed to helping her continue gaining confidence at her own pace. Because of this, Freya would do best in a home with experienced handlers or a family familiar with working with high-energy, intelligent dogs.

Once she feels safe and comfortable, Freya’s fun-loving personality truly shines. She is silly, adventurous, and endlessly entertaining, but she also has an incredibly sweet side. In the mornings especially, she is happiest curled up beside her people for snuggles and quiet affection before starting her day.

Freya would likely do best in an active home with older children who have previous dog experience and understand how to respectfully interact with dogs. She is looking for a family who will appreciate both her busy mind and her sensitive nature, and who will give her the structure, patience, and continued guidance she needs to thrive.

For the right family, Freya is going to be an incredibly rewarding companion with so much love, loyalty, and potential to give.
